Number Of Shots : 35
Time: 31 Seconds

As the genre for this film is horror/thriller there is a lot of jump/cut scenes. The shots are longer at the begining in order to show a bit of the narrative/ back story of the events. However as the film progress the pace becomes quick towards the end adding tention, as well as having the shots cut quicker and having a variation of angles suggesting that there is no where to be safe.

Number Of Shots: 58

At the begining the shots were longer and faded in and out of black, however, by the end the transistions didn't fade in and out and just got cut shorter and quicker, thus creating tension (straight Cut). however, at the end it fades out to black again, emphasising the title.

The music also starts of slow then as it gets closer to the end it picks up paste, making the tension increase sounding like a heart beat, to show life of charater. There was only one bit of dialogue, meaning it relies heavily on the shots to show understanding. there is emphasis on the breathing and machine guns, showing the genre of the adventure. The music and the audience/ genre has to fit to create an uderstanding.

Cross cuting/ Inter cutting, is used to change the time of the narrative. They also use an eyeline match to change the perspective, creating curiousity for the audience and an understanding.they use graphic match, by having the man roar and then the monster rawring, which adds intimidation. The brain automatically creates a linking between the shots.

There were many shot types used such as paning, which was used to give a sense of perspective.they used many close ups to allow the audience to emphasis with the charaters and help them understand how they are feeling. they also used a low angle to show the danger they were in. Birds eye views were used to give an idea of the action taking place. They began by following the convention of having an establishing shot so the audience know where its taking place etc.

There is only a small amount of narrative by only showing the main themes of the films, represented by the shots. You are not given a lot of charaters to indentify with, making it easier to emphasis with the main charaters. There is an imelgamation, meaning there is a hybrid genre, consisting of genres such as fantasy, romance, sci-fi, animation. In order to live up to its genre it has conventions such as chase scenes, referances to space/ planets. They also have the conventions of having props that compliment the genres, such as guns for the action.

The HangOver 2

Teaser:
The teaser is a lot more shorter, with 1 minute 15 seconds. It has more quotes of the movie before and only has one shot to make you remember the first one. It uses a little dialogue and only shows the name of the movie as well as having fast tempo music. It has shorter scenes to bring less connection with the audience but adds the excitment of the line "Just The Three Of Us Again...Oh God", bring emphasis again to it being a sequel. It also gives referance to previous movies done by the director.

Trailer:
The trailer is longer with 2minutes 32 seconds. I has longer sinces and has a lot more contrast of movies. It begins with a speech about the second movie making the audience remember the first one. There are a lot more scenes involved in the trailer than the teaser and it has more dialect to help the audience understand the plot. It emphasises on the keypoints to help bring the audience aware to what the plot may be. It also emphasis a lot more on who the audience is and adds a lot of humerous sences in the trailer to make the audience want to come to see the sequel as it would be as funny as the first.

127 Hours

File:127 Hours Poster.jpg
Teaser:
In the teaser trailer for the film "127Hours" the trailer is alot shorter and has less information about the charaters as well as less context, it also promotes the director by showing previous work. It also has less of a plot to follow and focouses more on the situation than the events leading up to, also leaving it on a cliffhanger. The shots are edited to a much shorter length creating a more dramtic situation as well as having on the key scenes shown EG getting stuck in between the wall and the bolder. The teaser has more of fast pace song used to add to the drama and making the audience want to see the film. The camera angles are usually aimed up to him. As well as having less of narrative of the plot.

Trailer:
In the trailer, it is a lot longer and many o fthe shots from the teaser have been extended. The trailer focuses more on the plot of whats happened and emphasises more on the charater of who he is. The music is very slow and the begining to add more connection then adds tempo when it gets more to the climax. The trailer has more awards etc and more previous work done. It also visably longer and has more context to help bring life to the story line.

A Trailer has mostly feature clips from the film usually giving a plot outline of what the film is about. They are often created when the edits are complete.
